We are from subgroup 2 of NR 0730

We have came up with a research topic to study on and here is our research topic.

STUDY OF RELATIONSHIP OF BLOOD PRESSURE

BEFORE AND AFTER CLIMBING UP FIXED NUMBERS
OF STAIRS

What is the purpose of the study you might ask?

It is to determine if there is any relationship between blood pressure before and after climbing
fixed numbers of stairs

Our research question:

Is there any relationship between blood pressure before and after climbing fixed numbers of
stairs?

Our variable:

Independent - blood pressure before. (scale)
Dependent - blood pressure after. (Scale)
Extraneous - Gender, age, individual with hypertansion/hypotension, time

Comceptualisation

Climbing uo fixed numbers of stairs: RUNNING up 68 steps without stopping
Blood Pressure : Generally refers to arterial pressure, i.e the pressure in the large arteries.

Operationalisation

Climbing up fixed numbers of stairs: Running up 68 steps without skipping any of it
Blood Pressure: Using 2 manual blood pressure sets and 2 stethoscopes.

We are targeting on 30 randomly chosen subject of any age and gender.

So with all these, our RESEARCH HYPOTHESIS is:

There is a positive relationship between blood presure before and after climbing fixed numbers
of stairs.

And our NULL HYPOTHESIS is:

There is no relationship between blood pressure before and after climbing fixed numbers of
stairs.
